I live southeast of Houston in the suburb of Clear Lake. Unfortunately, this suburb is beginning to grow its own suburb. I'm sure that there is a highly technical name for this like Urban Sprawl Twice Removed or something, but to me it just means that there's no longer such a thing as commuting against the flow of traffic.
I work in quality management.
I have one child and one husband. He and I married in August 2004.
My step-father (whom I love very much) currently is in Iraq serving under KBR. My father lives in South Carolina, and my mother and sister-in-law live in Mississippi. My sister lives in Florida, and my brother lives on a boat in the middle east. Thus with family across the south and two male family members serving El Presidente's nefarious purposes, one can infer that my family is a rag-tag band of illiterate inbreds who are in league with Satan to overthrow democracy and enslave the rest of you to our fiendish, perverted plans. So be it.
I like to do stuff. I knit. and purl. I crochet (on occasion), write, read, watch cheap movies and imitate Napoleon Dynamite, eat voraciously, play soccer, recover from injuries, whine and occasionally wax introspective. At those moments, I retreat to the bathroom where I can scratch myself and think quietly. I have a BA in Literature.
I am a Christian, and against all odds, I am a pretty standard suburbanite. Except that I drive a Honda Civic. I know that really isn't in keeping with the whole redneck, inbred thing, but the truck I had just cost too much money in gas.
